Hi! I’m Mia. I’m a Chinese-Australian comic artist, essayist, illustrator, zine-maker and award-nominated ex-poet based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia.
My work explores the complexities, contradictions, and deeply-felt desires of queer and trans subjectivity. I am passionate about understanding queer histories and imagining queer futures.

In 2020, I was a recipient of the Wheeler Centre’s The Next Chapter award, and my comics have been nominated for the National Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Awards.
I have been published in Liminal Magazine, Pencilled In, the Suburban Review and Strange Horizons. I am currently creative producer at Express Media.
